How to Be Agile in a Waterfall World with LTC Daniel Summers

Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban have become popular program management tools even beyond traditional software development. Many set processes in the federal government run counter to the principals of Agile and make implementing this type of management style difficult. However, at least understanding the basics of Agile can help cost estimators relate to data providers who use Agile in their processes as well as make us attuned to opportunities to implement some of the Agile principals to make us more efficient in our daily work.

LTC Daniel Summers
LTC Daniel Summers is an Army Officer with 10 years of operations research experience. Dan has a master’s degree in Operations Research from the Air Force Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
